THIS SITE SPECIALIZES IN ETHIOPIAN AND AMERICAN OPALS FORMED BY VOLCANIC ACTION.
ETHIOPIAN ROUGH SPECIMEN
This is rough specimen showing a secondary opal formation on the out side.It is a sheeny thin colour on top of a nice braod flash.This specimen is unusual as the the face has a natural polish.The nodule is a nice half specimen.I believe the opal nodule was formed first and then at a later date a secondary deposit formed on the out side. This makes a interesting specimen piece.
