Roys Rocks 4-Pack Resin Diamond Burs – 3mm Shank (200, 400, 800, 1200 Grit)
This listing is for one 4-pack of Roy’s Rocks resin diamond burs in grits 200, 400, 800, and 1200. These are designed to be used after your sintered or plated diamond tools and before transitioning to felt and cerium oxide for final polish.
These burs are an affordable and reliable way to get started with opal carving or to expand your toolkit without the higher cost of premium systems. I’ve personally tested them in the workshop and was impressed with their performance—about 85% as effective as Diamond Pacific Nova tips, at a fraction of the cost.
Each bur has a 3mm shank, slightly larger than the 2.3mm shanks I usually stock, so please check your collet or chuck compatibility before ordering.
Recommended Workflow:
Shape your opal with sintered or plated diamond tools
Use this 4-pack to step through your pre-polishing grits
Finish with a felt tip and cerium oxide for a professional polish
Perfect for:
• Beginner and hobby opal cutters
• Those wanting a low-cost entry into opal carving
• Backing up or supplementing your Nova tip kit
I’m proud to support Roy’s mission to make opal carving more accessible. These burs are a great place to start if you’re testing the waters or need an affordable alternative.

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a person is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on behalf of the bidder, incrementally increasing the bid up to the maximum to maintain their position as the highest bidder.
When there is an icon indicating 'Automatic Bid', it means our system is actively placing bids for the bidder based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if bidders are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the bidders maximum limit.
