This is a specimen of the skin of a opalized shell mined in coober pedy.This wasvery old opal dirt that was re processed by a noodling machine.Some of the opal shows stress from being exposed to the dry heat of the out back.We have painted the back with black paint making it a doublet but with no backing.This may be kept as natural specimen or made in to a pendant.
