Flashy 58.5 ct Virgin Valley opal with direct and contra-luz play-of-color!
From reds and purples, to greens, and blues, This piece flashes with tons of intense play-of-color. Its one of the more spectacular contra luz pieces I have had the pleasure of finding. The base opal is crystal clear, with a slight amber color.

I Found this piece durring my visit to Rainbow Ridge (located in Virgin Valley, Nevada). Nevada is famous for its precious opal limb casts (pretrified wood that formed with, or was entirely replaced by opal).
As always, its hard to capture the full spectrum of its play-of-color with my phone camera. In video and pictures, the reds, blues, and pinks tend to be less vivid or not captured at all.
