We are a family company who love opal and have loved sharing its beauty with the world for over 35 years of combined experience in opal mining, jewellery manufacture and online sales.

WEIGHT:15.1 carats, 3.02 grams.
This is a medium yield partly poished shell specimen gem piece.
This stone should cut around 6 to 8 carats of cabochons, up to 11 if carved or can be left as a rare crystal opalised bialve shell specimen.
DIMENSIONS: 27mm by 23 mm by 7 mm thick.
We do not sell opal simulants of ANY sort. All of our opal is 100% guaranteed Natural Australian Opal.
The color variations in some photos are due to different light angles and distances. All of our auctions are photographed with macro settings under a halogen lamp. In all photo's the opal is immersed.
Please check the dimensions carefully as the opal will not be as big in your hand as it looks on your monitor! Please check the description carefully before bidding and view your purchased rough opal wet in sunlight or in a dark room with a direct light source ie: desk lamp, down light etc. (As photographed and practiced throughout the opal industry).

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a person is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on behalf of the bidder, incrementally increasing the bid up to the maximum to maintain their position as the highest bidder.
When there is an icon indicating 'Automatic Bid', it means our system is actively placing bids for the bidder based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if bidders are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the bidders maximum limit.
