This is natural opal that has been treated to look like expensive black opal. This material has smooth tumbled stones and pebbles which are believed to be bought down by glaciers before the opal was formed.
This material is hard to get a polish on it as is porous so we stabilize with resin, They look much better in the hand.
This parcel has been cut to a standared size so it will fit commercially made mountings in mass produced jewelery. The tolerance is app 1 mm
