As this Boulder opal rough is formed as seams or veins colour in ironstone the parcel can be bulky and have to be worked, with the colour exposed and already ground down the opal just needs to be finished.
These is a natural piece of opal Rub that has been faced to expose the colour and taken in water to show colour bar.
