OPAL PALM FOSSIL
This is a natural untreated opalized boulder palm fossil stone.There is a worm burrow hole visiable in the stone .It was mined in Yowah Queensland This is a interesting stone as it was a ancient palm tree app 100 million years ago that was replaced over time by precious opal . It was found in one pocket with some large specimens. The grain is more closer than wood fossil replacement so the opal colours are a bit stronger. I have heard of only one other opalized palm fossil being found years ago
