OPAL WOOD ROUGH FOSSIL
This is a boulder opal rough that was tree that has been replaced by opal so you can make out the wood structure.The tree would be from the Cretaceous time 100 million years ago.This material can fall apart some times so some cutters like to treat with opticon to stabilize before cutting.
Also great as a interesting specimen if left natural.
Mined in Winton Qld.
