The Aztec calendar is the calendar system that was used by the Aztecs as well as other pre-coloumbian peoples of central Mexico . It is one of the Mesoamerican  calenders , sharing the basic structure of calendars from throughout ancient mesoameica .

The calendar consisted of a 365-day calendar cycle called  xiuhpohaulli(year count) and a 260-day ritual cycle called tonalpohualli (day count). These two cycles together formed a 52-year "century," sometimes called the  calender round .The xiuhpohualli is considered to be the agricultural calendar, since it is based on the sun, and the tonalpohualli is considered to be the sacred calendar.

The Aztec calender has 19 symbols around the sun but we have only included 8.The ancient Aztecs used to mine and carve leopard opal which is found in there area-we have some on offer at our sister site "volcanic opals."

Why are users outbidding themselves?

When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.

When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.

Audit

The Opal Sheriff program allows our members to request an audit on any product, which is completed by an independent Gemologist who assesses the accuracy of the item description and pictures.
