Blue base clear crystal with lots of color. Have had this cut stone for over 4 years now. Haven't seen an Welo opal craze yet from this mine. This opal is mined in Delanta area of Welo province Ethiopia.
Nice evenly cut, no off shape. Looks like the earth from space when looking in the dark. It is the blue based crystal which is very rare to see around now. This one has a purple blue background color and then the full face glows sky blue with flames of red swirling around inside. The back is just as beautiful with beautiful patterns to stare at and wonder. Big size so you don't go blind looking except the color is very bright.
