This is a polished piece of matrix from theOpalton opalfield in Queensland.The precious opal is embedded in the boulder ironstone.The stone has been hand wire wrapped with base metal and silver plated.The bail size is app 4.5 mm which is large enough for most necklaces.
Polished both sides.
