FOSSIL DOUBLET PENDANT
The pendant is rhodium plated-a quality product.
The weight is for the stone and setting .The size is for the opal only.
This is a bright doublet made from a Coober Pedy crystal shell fossil and mounted on to natural boulder ironstone .Some times they make a resin up to fit the contours .You can make out the shell appearance of the high dome and undulating side. Millions of years ago Australias out back was covered in a inland sea. These stones are a part of the skin of a shell fossil that was opalized. The shell is from the cretaceous period over 100 million years ago. The stones follows the contours of the shell so they are undulating.Showing strong firey colours
