SEDA OPALS
This Belemnite opalized fossil specimen is well polished with a high luster. It has been mined in coober pedy South Australia .
This is a opalized fossil replacement of a marine creature "belemnite" that roamed the Cretaceous sea 100 million years ago. Very similar to our squid today!
To get out of the host rock is very hard so they usually break off and glued back to gether.The miner found these two parts but couldnt find the joining part.You can see one one side the same pattern as its from the one specimen.
They can be used in jewelery or kept as a specimens.They could also be polished or carved.
