YOWAH ROUGH
This is a natural yowah rough stone that the precious opal is embedded in the host ironstone/sandstone rock.This material may have natural holes in it and the sandy areas can be hard to polish.You may polish them as natural stones .Or in asia the cutters rub fine boulder ironstone [you can collect this in the cutting machine tray by grinding some material away and allow to dry]. They then rub this powder in to the pits in the rough and heat it up. Then they apply super glue/opticon to it and polish.This gives a good glossy finish.

We use a Nikon camera that captures the mauve in blue stones which the eye cant see so consider this colour to be blue.
