This pendant is a piece of Aletai Meteorite which has been inlaid with Crystal Opal from White Cliffs. The Aletai Meteorite was discovered in the Xinjiang region, China in 1898. This piece beautifully displays the 'Widmanstatten' pattern which is unique to meteorites. The pattern is due to a crystal lattice formation created by millions of years of slow cooling whilst travelling through outer space. The pendant has been coated with a hard U.V resin to protect against rust. Silver bale is detachable.
