Huge Ethiopian Water Opal

Description: Massive Ethiopian Water Opal
Weight: 45.5 carat.
Origin: Welo, Ethiopia.
Treatment: none.
Type: Non-hydrophane water opal. Specimen Grade.
Shape: rough.
Pattern: flash.
Dominant Colors: Green, Blue, Red.
Size: 30mm x 25mm x 15mm.
Condition: Perfect. No fractures.
Comments: This is a huge chunk of water opal. That means it was mined in a wet environment and needs to remain wet. If dried out quickly this stone will craze and crack. If kept in a jar, snow globe or fish tank this stone will remain just as it is, forever. Some people slow dry these pieces over 6 months or stabilize them with resin but i don't recommend that. I cut & polish them and put them into glass snowglobe containers to sell at mineral shows. Water opals are not jewellery grade and are not stable enough to use for jewellery. But they are perfect for practicing cutting or creating beautiful displays on a shelf.

Shipping info: you only pay to ship the first stone. Any additional purchases within 7 days will be added to the package at no additional cost. Please inform us if you want us to wait the seven days before shipping your order (otherwise it will be shipped upon payment and you will not be able to combine with other purchases). All stones shipped from the Czech Republic.
Return policy: when you receive your order - if for any reason you aren't fully satisfied you may return the untouched stones within 10 days for a full refund. Please just drop us a message and include a tracking number. We aim to please and do not want anyone to be unhappy so never hesitate to contact us. Once the stone has been cut, polished , dried or modified in any way it is not possible to return.
