INDONESIAN OPAL STONE
NATURAL INDONESIAN STONE
This is a piece of natural opal polished I purchased on my last trip to Banten. It has been cut on the opal field there. It is a common practise to heat the rough in oil and sand to remove the out clay which sticks to the opal rough.This is a untreated stone but i suspect if tested there will be traces of baby oil.
This stone is considered to be a black opal with a body tone rating of N1
This stone is volcanic in origin.
This stone loves strong sunlight
Note the polish is not good and this stone could be improved by more polishing.
