I hope that you enjoy this opal as much as I do, I am rarely impressed by gemstones anymore but opal is one of my favorite gems and the qualities that we get to see in Ethiopian Opal are truly astounding.
Stone Details: Number of Stones: 1 Approximate Weight: 3.49cts. Measurements: 12.52*12.08*6.20mm Color: Multi Flash: Red/Orange/Green/Blue/Purple Cut: Very good - Excellent Finish & Polish: Good-Very Good Origin: Ethiopia Treatment/Enhancement: None
Only having really caught on within the last decade, Ethiopian Opal is a relatively fresh phenomenon. The current mines were discovered/re-discovered merely some 20 years ago, this particular, riveting breed of Opal has already seen its fair share of challenges throughout its short and lively history. In fact, as of late, the Ethiopian government, via the Ministry of Mines, have opted to potentially halt the exportation, of the rough opal found in Ethiopia. With the production of this splendid oddity winding down and supplies becoming more scarce by the day, the Ethiopian Opal has already begun to witness intense demands that will seemingly always outweigh the dwindling supply.
What typically sets the Opal apart from most gemstones is its color play, otherwise known as iridescence, which can appear as rapid color changes when observed through differing angles. Like most gemstones, the appearance and color schemes of Opal vary from place to place; the Ethiopian variety often exhibits a vibrant array of sweet, golden caramel hues that permeate and waft throughout the stone in a chaotic symphony of divine perfection.

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.
When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.
