TREATMENT
Most cutters on the fileld use acid to treat the rough which can be a bit dangerous-a more safer methosd is as follows.1 kilo (about 2 pounds) brown sugar. 3 litres water (4 - 5 pints) Mix until dissolved. place in electric crock pot or other pot to heat. After cleaning and shaping stones to your desire place in syrup and bring to hot without boiling. Leave cooking slowly for 12 hours.. Remove and wrap tightly (no air bubbles) in aluminum cooking foil and place in a cast iron pot or directly onto coals from an open fire and leave for 4 hours to carbonize sugar. Remove from heat (stones will remain hot for a long time). Rub outside carbon from stones with coarse emery paper using plenty of water. (I put them in a hand bowl and scrub them under the water) Keep rubbing until the color shows through. After you have the desired effect dry the stone with a paper towel and leave under a normal light globe to warm then coat with clear auto finish lacquer. Allow to dry completely before handling.

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.
When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.
