8.42 cts Black Opal - Lightning Ridge

This long drop shape black opal nobby in dark and darker blue shades has splashes of a tinted blue pattern in a floral broad flash mix. It’s an undeniably very dark and moody stone. It has a nice high cabochon although it’s long, languid shape lends itself to a pendant. But I can also see it as a ring on a long fingered hand.
