This is a opal rough that was vegetation but has been opalized. This material is unusual as its small pieces of plant matter in the ironstone with flecks of colour. The miner found one patch of this material and thought it was dung from a plant eating dinosaur but im caling it as a patch of fine vegation pieces.
Also great as a interesting specimen.
Mined in Jundah Qld.
This photo was taken with the stones wet.
All weights and sizes are approximate.
As with all our rough you may return it for a full refund provided it is rubbed or touched in any way-we suggest you look at it with a loop before cutting.
Stunning piece. Big respect to the miners who risk their lives to show people like myself the true beauty of Australian Opal. Thank you.
