Folks here is a magnificent piece of rough from the 17 mile field. Its huge, 449 carats and its chocka block full of color as you can see.
It has dark base, crystal and some white, all gemmy. Color from every angle of every sort. One end has blue crystal of the brightest color.
I can see red blue green gold and yellow, maybe some pink too.
I suspect there is a black inside it too sitting on that dark base.
Its a very nice chunk of Opal. Hard to find anything of this size and quality thats not been cut and this will cut a small fortune.
