KORIOT OPAL ROUGH
This field is known for its precious opal embedded in rich ironstone which takes a great polish and magical patterns .I bought it on the tv show out back opal hunters and as it was showen in the rough i decided to leave it untouched. It would be fun to cut this rough.This stone was mined in the claim called "elusive' that was featured on out back opal hunters tv show. The miner called the claim this as the opal was elusive hard to finish.
This parcel is rare as usually you find nuts in the Yowah opal field .Koriot is known for large slabs and conglomerate material. This will need a experienced cutter to finish this parcel or you can just admire them as specimens.
We have taken the photo with the stone wet.
The main stone is 1000 grams
Green bar 370 grams
Blue with cavity is 490 grams
