Stone : Boulder Opal Wood Replacement

Absolutely stunning piece. It was a relief to find this piece, had purchased a parcel of rough from a miner in Yowah on my last trip and was not the best buy, felt a bit down. My son was helping me sort out this rough and I was about to put this piece in my quick sale lot as all I could see is the matrix and no opal, my son stopped me and said there is a speck of colour on the side. I took the loop and look close and could see some of the white with colour, with little hope when to the machine to rub it down and out CAME THIS PIECE.... Was blown away...

I left stone partly finished as to show how it sits in the matrix, suggestion would be to cut it down to make a stone to be set in jewellery.
