This pendant consists of White Cliffs crystal opal inlaid into a piece of Seymchan Pallasite. A Pallasite is a grade of Meteorite which contains Olivine crystals. Obviously, this is a crystal free portion. The Seymchan Pallasite was discovered in June-1967 in a dry bed of the river Hekandue near the settlement of Seymchan, Russia. This Meteorite generally displays a broader 'Widmanstatten' pattern and due to its high level of Iridium content is considered stable and rust resistent. Just the face of pendant has been coated with a hard U.V resin for extra protection. Silver bail is detachable.
