This opal has Reverse Honeycomb and some Chaff patterning on a lovely black base. It has a great personality and in direct sunlight it is jetblack.
Natural blackopals do come to the market every few years and they quickly dissapear into private collections never to be seen on the internet again.

Opalauctions does not allow the word blackopal used on ethiopian stones Unless there is a certificate proving its not treated and actually says black. Like the sister sites all lab certificates are not allowed on opalauctions or their sister sites.
