We were lucky to work with Damien Hirst on a Opal photographic project. He wanted a photo of a range of opal in a large group which he could work from and sell at later dates.

I collated 61 opals weighting in around 715 carats of all different colours, patterns and grades. These were placed at random to produce the layout in the video then photographed with a Hasselblad H4D with a single light source. This was then ran through CS6 with very little edit than getting the black background clean and tidy.

We still hold the collection in private right now which we have uploaded here for your viewing pleasure.
