This is a boulder opal rough that was tree that has been replaced by opal so you can make out the wood structure.The tree would be from the Cretaceous time 100 million years ago.THIS SPECIMEN AS COATED IN PARALOID WHICH IS USED TO PRESERVE FOSSILS-IF SOAKED IN ACETONE IT WILL COME OFF.!

Also great as a interesting specimen if left natural.
