Description: 16 carat wood replacement opal.
Weight: 16.3 carat
Origin: Banten, Indonesia.
Type: Wood replacement opal.
Treatment: Some light oil has been rubbed on the outside. No heat treatment or colouring.
Shape: Tree roots.
Dominant Colors: orange, yellow, blue, green.
Size: 31mm x 19mm x 8mm.
Condition: Perfect. No fractures.
Comments: This is wood replacement opal. Millions of years ago trees were buried by earth and volcanic ash. Over time silica seeped through the earth and filled in areas where the wood had eroded. The opal is in the shape of tree roots and branches. The miners rub oil onto the pieces for shine. I have wiped it off but a bit remains.

Shipping info: you only pay to ship the first stone. Any additional purchases within 7 days will be added to the package at no additional cost. All stones shipped from the Czech Republic.
Return policy: when you receive your order - if for any reason you aren't fully satisfied you may return the untouched stones within 10 days for a full refund. Please just drop us a message and include a tracking number. We aim to please and do not want anyone to be unhappy so never hesitate to contact us. Once the stone has been cut, polished or modified in any way it is not possible to return.
