A fish ....or a palm tree ?

The idea has been to combine 2 opals that sits well together. Pleasing to the eyes

Part 1 has a domed triangular shape with 2 slightly concave sides and a convex one. I consider this one as the main part and its details are given in the "comprehensive description"

Part 2 is a carved seam opal with a fanlike shape and frilled surface and its details are written hereunder.

Part 1 Triangular low domed shape

Materials: Natural Opal-Type – 1 (Solid)

Origin: Lightning Ridge Australia

Body tone: Light crystal opal N 7/8

Body Tone and Play of Colour, slightly vary according to light source.

Colours: Predominant: Green- Secondary: pink

Brightness: Moderate on the frilled part. Good on the green triangular form.

Directionality: Non directional (good) in 2 directions. Directional, in one direction

Pattern: Moss like and some Pin fire

Polish: Front side: excellent up to 10 x

Clarity: Translucent material. No internal inclusions

Part 2: The fan like shape

Materials: Natural Opal-Type - 1 (Solid)

Origin: Lightning Ridge Australia

Body tone: Dark to light opal N 6/7

Weight: ct 2.85

Size: 13.5mm x 20.2 mm – Variable from 1.5 / 2.5mm

Colours: Predominant: Green

Secondary: Pink

Brightness: Subdue
