MATRIX ROUGH

This is a natural piece of boulder matrix from Opalton Queensland Australia.This material has precious opal embedded in the ironstone and usually is easy to get a top polish on.As the opal is through the stone it  is easier to polish than boulder opal which may have only a thin colour bar on top.It should be fun to cut this stone.

We have taken the photo with the stone wet as this will give you a idea of how it will look polished.
