This is a natural stone found in Andamooka and treated to look like expensive black opal-the treatment is permeant but keep away from harsh chemicals.
This parcel has been cut to a standared size so it will fit commercially made mountings in mass produced jewelery. The tolerance is app 1 mm
They look better in the hand than in our pictures.
