FOSSIL GEMSTONE

This is a natural specimen from Coober Pedy which was a shell fossil. You can make out the shell appearance of the high dome and undulating side. Millions of years ago Australian outback was covered inland-sea. These stones are a part of the skin of a shell fossil that was opalized.
