This is a natural opal rough that have rubbed to expose the colour . This material was a living tree 100 million years ago and the wood void has been replaced by opal. With fossil replacement its best to leave inclusions in as they can be hard to rub out. They make a great fossil specimen and can be cut or sculptured as they are.

Note we use a Nikon camera that captures the mauve in blue stones which the eye cant see so consider this colour to be blue
