This is natural opal matrix found in Andamooka South Australia. It has been treated to look like expensive black opal.
This material has small rounded pebbles that were believed to have been deposited by glaciers well before the opal was formed. Some times there is small pieces of twigs also .Making them unique!
.We carbonize it by using only sugar under high vacuum pressure to get this result.no acid is used.
The treatment is permanent but strong chemicals can affect it.
Also known as Andamooka Rainbow Matrix.
