This stunning large Crystal Black Opal is from Lambina, one of the smaller fields in South Australia and perhaps the hardest to work as it does not produce a lot of Opal, but when it does, it is usually very very good solid material. The ground is just so hard there, like concrete.

Folks, I sourced this rough from the miner, cut it myself, had it polished, so this is the cheapest cut Opal you will ever find because there has not been one middleman in the entire process, so you are getting a genuine bargain and I wont mind if it doesnt sell!

This Opal comes from rough I sell and measures 1.2 inches x .9 inches x quarter inch. It has been highly polished and presents very well. You can see there is a band of red under the surface. To reveal this band would cost a lot of weight. Yes it would make the stone twice as valuable, but I chose to leave it as is, and let you decide to go deeper or not.

Overall, a very green stone, but once the light hits it, the reds emerge from underneath in the most spectaular fashion to give it a great rolling flash over the surface. It is a free form shape, but you could work it further, that is up to you.

This is a very pretty shiny Opal with color across the entire face. It is ready to be set, no polishing needed.

One only at this price, a real bargain as I bought the rough from the miner, I cut it, had it polished to perfection, so it has not changed hands yet. I pass that saving onto you.
