Gawk at my Opals presents a gorgeous Pair of Ethiopian Welo 5/5 Neon Hydrophane Opal six sided cube Beads which are polished on all sides by hand. These drilled beads are the same as the ones that I am currently selling in our store Gawk at my Opals here on Opal Auctions. These are the very best around. I spent three years researching and developing these AAAA gem beads as I couldn't find opal beads to my liking. Comparable gem beads of this quality are a minimum of $225-400/ carat. The rough used on these beads is the same quality that we use on all the cabs and Matt's Faceted Opals which are the very best around. Many unscruptulous sellers have stolen my photos and ideas and claimed them as their own. I assure you will not receive the same quality opal gem beads as I provide here. I have retained an International Intellectual Property Attorney to fight this out for me. It is disheartening to know that some unsavory and jealous gem dealers would stoop to this practice. It is a shame. These beads or any of our other opals unless otherwise noted havenot been treated with oils to enhance the Play of Color artificially. We have very strict guidelines throughout our supply chain and do not allow any type of enhancement or treatment to be used even in the cutting of our opals. Oils such as mineral oil, coconut oil and so forth will damage the hydrophane opal over time and you will not get a good return on your gem investment but rather a bad one. Please note that we do not tumble any of opal or gem beads. We use the same meticulous care in cutting, sanding and polishing that we would use on our cabs and faceted opal gems. This pair weighs 1.14 carats and is being auctioned starting at $1.00 NR. I have been putting up my very best that either I have cut or that is in my Private Opal Collection. Matt and I are true opal lovers and will only offer gems that we would want ourselves. All our gems, beads and cabs are all cut from the best quality hand selected Ethiopian Welo Hydrophane Opal Rough which we secure through our mine-direct sources. Matt's faceted gems are considered the very best in the industry especially his custom faceted Welo Opal Gems. You have a rare opportunity to own our precious opals by dealing with us directly.
