Superb 61 Ct Rainbow Coober Pedy Opalized Shell

This is one of the nicest shells I have ever seen for the price.
This beauty measures 40 x 27 x 13mm and weighs a mights 61 carats.
She is pretty much skin to skin with all the colors of the rainbow as you can see. Stunning red golds and greens with everyting else you can think of. Shells always have the best color, all fossils do. I think its to do with amino acids but no one knows.
This gem is going to make a very special pendant. If you are into carving, I would seriously consider this shell too. The face cries out to be carved and once the back is cleaned up, who knows what you can make of it with your Dremel.
It is certainly large enough to cut cabs from, but you would never do that to a shell. Just polished up it would be a superb specimen as is.
Shells this good, skin to skin, are not easy to come by. This is a special stone at less than you could buy it for on the field.
