I lived ate and experienced and seen more of Ethiopia than I ever did ,so far I've seen many new stones in Ethiopia some haven't even made it to Addis yet. I would like to focus on bringing awareness of some of these new gemstones for 2018 . In Ethiopia new stone's are being discovered everyday. I have chased many rumors on my adventures . Every stone is cut meticulously to insure not only it's flat-spot free and polished flawless but most importantly we leave just enough of a rounded edge to grab and set the stone properly ,great care goes into every stone to make sure all sides of the gem can be bezel set ,not limiting the stone to prongs or a bezel setting that is as tall as prongs.
