What an elegant Welo opal this is!  This remarkable gem is afire with brilliant color. The nearly transparent aspect of this fine stone holds such an immense amount of striking color that you will be amazed.  Looking from the rear, flat surface, a world of crimson fire intermingled with intense snakeskin green will amaze your eye.  I do not use the term “amazing” lightly.  The well polished upper surface is a veritable carnival of flashing green,  sprinkled with bright spots of red that spring from the well defined snakeskin pattern. This lovely Welo opal would make an idea pendant stone but if in the process any of the astonishing fire were to be obscured, I would suggest leaving it free of any setting, gold, platinum or whatever.  If you choose this gem I believe you will agree.  I love this superior Welo opal;  I am confident that you will also.
