The stunning pattern in this small treasure appears to be a combination of confetti and the lively Welo patchwork.  A glance at the photos will show you this striking combination.  A careful eye will also note a small snakeskin pattern that adds to the delight this stone has in great abundance.  That’s a lot of loveliness in such a small opal. While cutting this handsome opal I assumed that likely it would become a pendant stone so I cut it with a flat smooth back, gave it some bezel-friendly edges and the result is a brightly gleaming stone small in size but a giant in color and fire and quality. Although it was formed something over thirty million years ago in a volcanic furnace, I suggest not letting too much more time pass before you choose this little wonder for your own.
