Folks here is a lovely Opal polished to an extended teardrop that measures 30 x 13 x 3.5 mm and weighs 9.4 carats.
It has good color at low angles but not a lot on the face when it sits flat, so it wil be best as a pendant where it can move around and show off, luckily the rough was large enough to make this Opal into that perfect pendant shape.
It has great greens and blues, some yellows and some very nice red. When it rotates in the sun it wil be very pretty.
In the sun its a grey Opal, in the shade, its more black or blue, hold it to the light and it is a golden honey crystal. a most unusual Opal that has come from the now closed field Lambina. The color looks good in the shade too, dappled light is perfect for thie Opal, so it is great indoors.
Its a very honest piece, shows fingerprints very well! There are a cuplie of small inclusions on the face that you dont really notice.
