GUM OPAL FROM ETHIOPIA
This is a natural untreated opal from the Mezezo field in Ethiopia.It is called gum opal as it sticks to your finger like chewing gum.This material can handle high temperatures but some pieces have be known to explode in water.It can be kept as a dry specimen or if you wish to polish it go to the FORUM section on Opal auction -go to CUTTING OPAL and then STABILIZING CUTTING ETHIOPIAN OPAL.
