OPAL ROUGH
This is a piece of natural nobby opal rough that has been faced to expose the colour bar so it is ready for polishing.This is from the Kellys opal field in near the Ridge. There is two types of rough found in the area "seam''and ''nobby'' A photo of the material when it came out of the agatiator is included.This stone has been shattered and would need to cut smallers stones or to treat with opticon.There is some faults with red stains in them which means it has been fractured for a long time in the ground.The agitator-large concret mixer you see on the back of trucks.] can also do some damage when it tumbels

Note we use a Nikon camera that captures the mauve in blue stones which the eye cant see so consider this colour to be blue.
