Australian solid semi black opal from Lightning ridge, cut, ready to set into jewellery. Found in Grawin area, which is an area at Lightning Ridge world renowned for the black opal found there. The opal has natural N5 backing, and has a strong flash pattern dominantly green and blue colours. A line of potch runs across the face of the stone separating the flashes. The gem weighs 1.10 carats. 10mm length, 5mm width, 3.5mm depth. Would make a very unique ring.
