BOULDER PIPE ROUGH “QUARTZ’
This is a natural untreated rough pipe specimen from the Quartz mine in Queensland that was mined over 30 years ago. This is opal that has formed in the biscut [sandstone] band. There will be some faults in the stone due to its age .You can cut it as a specimen or it can be cut up for inlay or doublets
I dont believe any more mining has been done in this area so it will make a interesting stone.

Hi, nice Greens everywhere, all at best! I'm trying to get more color out of it by treating it again. Maybe it will work. Best regards and stay healthy all! Walter
