*** This ring has a very high quality adjustable band. *** It is currently a size 8 but it can be adjusted down to a size 5. Also, this type of band will accommodate those who have larger knuckles because the band is a bit "springy" which allows the ring to "expand" over the knuckle and then return back to its normal size. It will flex about 1 ring size without bending. Please do not confuse this ring with those cheaply made adjustable rings you may have seen before. This is a very high quality piece of jewelry.
Beautiful holographic flashing opal. In lower lights, I see either a big green flash or a big red flash rolling across the face as I move the opal about. In brighter lights, the fire concentrates and it has more of a dicso ball effect; also, gold fire joins the mix.
BRAND NEW hand crafted ring with a beautiful opal from the Welo Province of Ethiopia, Africa. It has been masterfully set into sterling silver. The ring is very beautiful, it shows great color in all lighting conditions. It sparkles and glistens with nothing but candlelight.
The ring has a solid opal - not synthetic, not a doublet or a triplet. It was mined from the earth, skillfully cut from the rough form into its current finished form, and then masterfully set into the setting you see.
In our jewelry, no synthetic gemstones of any kind are ever used and only solid precious metals are used - never plated.

About My Pictures and Videos
When you hold an opal in your hand, it should look better in your hand than the images used to show it - not the other way around. It is never my intention to portray an opal better in my images than it appears in real life. The images you see are accurate to the best of my ability. Generally, with the opal in hand you will see higher lustre; and greater depth and liveliness than I capture in my images.
If you are new to opals then you should know that it is impossible to capture the exact nature of an opal in images. Many opals look different under different lighting conditions. Make sure to look at your opal with the sun at your back and coming over your shoulder. Not all opals look best in full sunlight. Some opals look better with less light and some opals look drastically different on cloudy days or in the morning light . I hope you have fun exploring the wonderful world of opal.
How to choose opals
If you happen to be new to the world of opals then please know this: only about 10% of all mined opal is gem grade opal with the rest being colorless potch. If you have ever seen an opal that looked dull with almost no color inside of it then you saw a very low quality opal. I am offering much higher quality opals. When you acquire an opal from me you are getting an opal that has been hand-selected for its unique characteristics by an opal expert who spends nearly all of his time working with opals.
How do I know which opal to buy: One question people often ask is, “how do I know which opal to buy?” Opals are exceptionally rare and beautiful gemstones. They have fire inside of them that flashes and rolls as you move them around. To me, it seems that each opal has energy trapped inside of it; almost like an eternal sunset. As the colors flash and roll, it’s almost as if the opal is telling a story. So, as you look at the opal, listen to it. You should buy the opal “that speaks to you.”
