Pineapple Fossil specimens are not a pineapple like fruit
opalised but an unusual combination of chemical reactions to form this specimen
that resembles a pineapple.
It is estimated there is less than 500 opalised Pineapples
as it is rare combination of Glauberite to create this type specimen.
The glacier dissolved,and the water formed to silica and
over millions of years opal was formed
The only place on earth where these are formed is at white
Cliffs south Australia in a small opal field
