opalplus
Opal Plus started selling Opals in Perth, Western Australia in 1990. At that time my brother Paul was mining Black Opal in Lightning Ridge, NSW, Australia. He would send the rough Opal to Perth and we would cut, polish and sell the finished stones. In 1992 we moved to the Gold Coast, Queensland and set up set an Opal cutting factory rubbing, cutting and polishing on average 120 Black Opals per day. At this time we had a number of partnerships and Opal mining ventures and a good source of Opal rough material. We sold Opals in Australia and New Zealand as well as at the Tuscon Gem Shows in America and gem shows in Japan. In 1995 Estella started creating jewellery and we started selling Opal jewelry also around Australia to complement our Opal sales.

It's almost as if these stones speak to our spirit! I wear an opal pendant every day once I received it, and I feel different in a good way!

Would absolutely do business again. The stone looks better in person than photos show. Thank you for helping me to add a great Boulder opal specimen to my rapidly expanding collection!

Beautiful stone. Will make an eyecatching hanger in an entourage of tiny set diamonds. Thanks a lot!

Why are users outbidding themselves?

When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.

When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.

Audit

The Opal Sheriff program allows our members to request an audit on any product, which is completed by an independent Gemologist who assesses the accuracy of the item description and pictures.
